What we collect

  • When you ask for the case studies: your first name and email address.
  • When you apply for a Deep Dive: your business name, website, what the business does, yearly revenue band, years in business, where the business is based, whether you are the owner or decision maker, monthly marketing spend band, and, if you choose to tell us, where you think the business is leaking money.
  • Technical data: your IP address, which we use briefly to run the site and to limit repeated form submissions. Our hosting provider also processes it to deliver and protect the site.

We do not ask for sensitive information. Please do not include any in the free text fields.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising tags. If you play a video, it loads from Zight, which receives your IP address and may use its own cookies or similar technology inside the video player. Zight's own privacy policy covers that.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To send you the case studies and occasional related notes. Basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
  • To assess and answer your application. Basis: steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.
  • To keep the site secure and stop abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site and the people who use it.

Under Brazil's LGPD and Canada's PIPEDA, we rely on the equivalent bases: your consent, and our legitimate interest.

Who we share it with

We use these service providers to run the site. They process your information on our behalf and only for these purposes:

  • HighLevel (customer relationship management, United States): stores your name, email and application answers.
  • Netlify (hosting, United States and global network): delivers the site, runs the form handling, and processes your IP address.
  • Zight (video embeds): receives your IP address when a video loads.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

International transfers

Your information is stored in the United States. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or equivalent safeguards.

How long we keep it

  • Case study requests: until you unsubscribe, or 24 months with no contact, whichever comes first.
  • Applications: 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client.
  • Technical data used to limit submissions: held only briefly in memory, not stored in our CRM.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your information, and tell you who we have shared it with;
  • correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it;
  • stop using it, where we rely on legitimate interest (you can object);
  • send it to you or another organisation in a portable format;
  • stop using it for emails, by withdrawing your consent at any time.

In Brazil, you also have the LGPD rights to confirm whether we process your data, to information about who we share it with, and to information about the consequences of not giving consent. In California and other US states with privacy laws, you have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and we will not treat you differently for using any of these rights. You can use an authorised agent.

To use a right, contact us as set out above. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will reply within the time the law gives us.

Complaints

Please contact us first, so we can try to put things right. You can also complain to your data protection authority:

  • UK: the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
  • EU: the data protection authority in your country.
  • Canada: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), or in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
  • Brazil: the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados, ANPD (gov.br/anpd).
  • California: the California Privacy Protection Agency (cppa.ca.gov), or your state attorney general elsewhere in the US.
